A Tradition Worth Celebrating

In 2011, the UGA Arts Council was convened by then Vice Provost for Academic Affairs Libby V. Morris. Since then, the council has grown tremendously to include 17 university units, all with the shared goal of infusing the arts into their teaching and scholarship.

Arts Council Units

The 17 units of the Arts Council represent the performing, visual and literary arts, as well as interdisciplinary academic units. Supported by the Office of the Provost, the Arts Council meets regularly to collaborate and foster awareness of the arts.
